This Privacy Policy explains how MarryBase ("MarryBase," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use marrybase.com and the MarryBase apps and services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you create a wedding, RSVP as a guest, or contact us, you may give us information such as your name, email address, event details, RSVP and meal choices, song requests, and photos you choose to upload. Couples may also add details about their guests and schedule.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Service we automatically collect basic technical information such as device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and usage events (for example, which pages you view). We use this to keep the Service running, secure, and reliable.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To coordinate your event — sending RSVPs, schedules, reminders, and day-of alerts.
• To power the planning features that help you organize your wedding, and to screen uploaded photos for inappropriate content.
• To respond to your questions and provide support.
• To keep the Service secure and to prevent abuse or fraud.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:

• Within your event. Details you add to a wedding are visible to the couple and, as appropriate, to invited guests of that event.
• Service providers. Trusted vendors who host our infrastructure, deliver email, and process payments, acting on our instructions.
• Legal reasons. When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of MarryBase, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

Payments

Wedding Pass purchases are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account or event is active, and as needed to provide the Service and meet our legal obligations. You may ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@marrybase.com and we'll help.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the Service.
